Take Me Back
I do not belong
In the millennium
Of metal,
Cyberspace and chrome.
Take me back
To the time
Of heroes,
Swords drawn,
Rushing into battle.
Take me to
The blood of the dead
Speared through the heart,
The swear of the men
Awaiting battle
Under the hot sun,
And the tears
Of lovers, sisters, children
Who will never again
See those faces.
