Eternal War

Tirelessly searching
Learning as we trudge in
unknown waters and lore.
We have accomplished much
yet for us,, what we have
is not enough, and advance...
Some for fame, some for greed
yet all have ambition
to succeed on a razed
desolate battlefield
till we destroy ourselves.
Our successors then search
for elusive answers.
I solemnly wish that
they learn from our mistakes;
They are silhouettes
of past lives and peoples
marching to unmarked graves
Tirelessly searching

Stop and listen to the
subtle silent echoes
of the fallen soldiers
that fought in this Eternal War.
