Skin Shallow

Lost in the sea of faces

Appraised by beauty’s hierarchy

This eye that can see things in opaque

Blurred it can see more lucid

Sight that sees only skin shallow

Intents always and only to deceive

Deluded by your splendor

I didn’t see the filth, within your skin

Sight has blinded me

From the ugliness of the beauty you posses

I guess I’ve looked at you too much

That I didn’t see you

Judge me after a look

And it’s pointless for me to present myself

I loved you for just a smile

And hated me for everything else

Authors Note:

The poem was not very clear, as I wanted it to be… I guess I was a little distracted while writing the poem. But anyway, I hope to read your reviews. Your comments, suggestions and criticisms are very much welcomed.
