Disguise

Seeking truth from a distant fate
Of abstinence and uncertainty.
Drowning in an ocean of ambiguity,
Unconscious of the time and date.

Searching for something to fill up the hole,
Finally found it but still left me hollow.
Keeping it inside, never letting go -
But nothing seems to change at all.

Crawling beneath the shadows of fear,
Trying to survive the endless
Hymn of “chaos called creation” -
Wanting to feel an eternal elation.

The flame around me starts to die down,
But I can still feel the heat -
Burning and melting my insides,
Leaving me senseless & obsolete.

P.S. I'm very sorry for using the "chaos called creation" phrase which is actually the pen name of one of our co-fictionpress author. It just really describes what I want to express in this poem of mine. Sorry that I didn't ask your permission C3! I owe you one!
