this collection consists of 24 poems - poems that maybe could but somehow can't stand alone - written around a single event over the course of a year. a journey, if you will. what the journey actually is, & what is found (& lost) along the way is up to you to decide. i will tell you that the morning looks towards redemption, while the evening is an elegy. there is a marked jump in style between the two, as well, so if you don't like the way i write in one half jump to the other one.
thank you so much for reading this - i can't say how much that means, how much this means. please don't copy anything without permission. & don't cry against what you don't know.
it was one day. it was one year.

(it’s) breaking apart from the insideout (just like she always wanted) &
everything is darkcoldhurt as the
lies wrap calm around my neck, bring me to my knees.
(so) i hit the bottom but the world still goes on above (it doesn't matter anymore);
every night it gets worse. but then your arms end up around me, your lips
valiantly whispering my name into my hair (calling me home) & i begin to
(be)li(e)ve again.
