The World I Know

I’m not old enough to talk about life.

What do I know of love or strife?

What do I know about true happiness or pain?

I know what I’ve seen. That’s all that I claim.

I know that killing is good,

And that creating is a sin.

I know there is no reason you should,

Care about the pain I’m in.

I know that idealists are doomed,

To destroy the world they love.

I understand the path I choose,

Will probably be the wrong one.

I know that “dark” and “evil”,

Are two entirely different things.

I know it’s hard to find that line,

In the infinite in-between.

I know it doesn’t matter in the end,

What I say or try to do.

I know I’ll keep trying my best,
