In a rush of vicious silence

The grim calmness is taken away

You have seized my hopes

Replaced it

With the desperate need to shower these pages with tears.

To hurt

Until all is broken and torn.

To smash

All sounds of laughter.

I want to

Take this bullet and aim for your heart.

Create a hole almost as wide

As the one you left in mine.

You have

Blocked all exits

Shut away all escapes.

So I sit here panting

And trying to hold back sobs.

Everything is suddenly nothing

The black spaces filled with blocks of pain.

The stinging in my eye

Won’t go away.

Suddenly blind.

I am no longer immune to the world.

Choking on the bacteria you have sent my way.

I watch as you

block the sunlight

suck out the oxygen.

With raw indifference you

Slowly lower the lid on my life.
