Somewhere Far Away
H. C. Sluys
Somewhere
far away, I know
There
lies a place where we can go
Where
winds are warm, and gently blow
Our
worries far away.
Somewhere
far away, I bet
There
stands a man without regret
Whose
steps are light, and tears are wet
And
lives for joy today.
Somewhere
far away, it’s true
There
floats an island, sea-green-blue,
Where
sorrow sleeps the seasons through,
But
Brother, if you only knew,
That
far away is here today—
And that the man is you.
