Beautiful Oblivion

Can't you see
what's lying right
in front of you?

I see it,
I see it every day

It's in my incoming calls
or lack thereof
It's in the way you act around her
(Love like a sister,
you say)
Like I hardly exist

It's in the way you
seem to have no clue
what's going on
The way you
act like nothing's wrong

Like it was
before all this chaos

Wherever you are,
in you beautiful oblivion,
I'd love to hop on a plane
and join you

But I don't have a passport

I'm stuck here

Written 3/27/06. For Miche; I don't want a rendezvous, then I'm through with you. Thanks to Eve 6 for inspiration.
