My brain (it leaks) goes flying 'cross the room,
And hits the wall (and falls onto the floor),
And fills the world with a resounding BOOM!
(My ears can hear but can't always be sure);
And out spill numbers I thought I once knew,
And words fall freely (slowly) through the cracks,
And here I am just waiting (wishing) for you,
To pick up the pieces and put them all back.
But lights were kept off, and I alone still,
Went groping blindly round the chilling ground,
And found what was left of my heart and my will,
And slopp'ly remembered to where I'd been bound
(Along with some books I had left on a shelf,
Along with the love you had kept to yourself).
