Since You Left

Since you left,

I wonder,

Were you reality?

Or just a figment,

Of my love-needing mind,

I can no longer feel your embrace,

Your soft lips upon mine,

Left ghostly residue,

Your smell is gone from the sheets,

The room is dim,

So surreal,

To have had you,

Then vanished,

From my sight,

Vapours of memories,

Drift upon nostalgic rivers of tears,

Something is missing,

But was it really even there?

Maybe just a dream,

But when I hear you whisper my name,

Upon the wind from up above,

I know you were real.
