Your words are flying over my head

Blinding me, confusing me

So what am I supposed to do?

You know it, as well as I

That you would leave me in a moment

Throw away years of friendship

For the smallest thing you can find

One simple mistake is all it takes

One word that slipped out

You know I never wanted to hurt you

But you'll run away before I can explain

Your lies, broken promises

What do they mean now?

That I let myself get caught up

In a fantasy, a stupid dream

You'll apologize, in a few days

You always do, I know it

But this time, I won't fall

For another of your acts

And now, your words are flying

Sweeping past my ears as I ignore you

And all the lies you used to sell me with
