GerardYuroshi: Well this is my first story, please be nice usually I write fanfics...anywho this is about a manga me and my friend are creating and this is the story I came up with when he was telling me about the concept of the manga. Mind you, the story for the manga that we are creating is going to be totally different from this, but this is what I came up with. Anywho ENJOI!
The young girl smiled and absently flicked a strand of her blonde hair out of her face. She brushed the dead grass off of her shorts and fixed her boots, which looked like they were two sizes too big for her. Once she felt that she looked perfect, she stepped out from behind the bushes and slowly walked through the field. The field was once luscious and beautiful, filled with flowers of all shapes, sizes and colours. Now it was just a vast field of dead grass and bare patches.
Finally getting out of the boring field, the young girl walked into a city filled with skyscrapers and other various buildings. The city looked just like New York City, but that city was destroyed as were other towns and cities in the war. The young girl remembered the war as if it were yesterday, but in truth it happened over fifteen years ago. Still it was fresh in her memory and the thoughts of it made her shiver.
“Cold, Nataomi?” a soft voice called out.
The young girl whose name was Nataomi spun around and stared into light green eyes. She smiled. “No I’m not, Gerard.” She said blushing a light shade of pink.
Gerard smiled. “Okay, just wondering.” Nataomi’s blush got darker and she turned away from him to hide it. She couldn’t help it, she had a crush on Gerard ever since she met him. Who wouldn’t, he was beautiful. He had a round shaped face, with pale milky skin that seemed to glow. He had large light green eyes that should childish innocence in them. He had short spiky black hair, which he sometimes wore down and came to about his shoulders. He was so cute. “Nataomi-chan?” Gerard asked looking at the girl’s back wondering why she turned away from him.
Nataomi took a deep breath and turned back to Gerard, hoping her blush wasn’t showing. “I’m fine Gerry.” She said giggling. “I was just…thinking.”
Gerard looked down. “Is it about the Hellyians?”
Nataomi sighed. “Sort of. I wonder when they are going to stop, I mean not all of the demons are causing mischief.”
“Yes, but I guess they want all demons back where they belong. Although I don’t see why we can’t make a compromise with them so we can all live in peace and harmony.”
Nataomi nodded. “The Hellyians are stubborn though, they won’t give in that easily. They always like to be the dominant ones.”
“Hopefully they won’t start a war, we wouldn’t stand a chance against them. Only a few humans know magic and the ones who do aren’t that strong.”
“You’re the strongest mage I know Gerry-kun.” Nataomi said making Gerard blush a light shade of pink.
“Thanks.” Gerard said softly, shifting his feet uncomfortably. Ever since the demons came to the human world, the Hellyians have been causing trouble trying to get all the demons back. The demons, of course, wanted freedom and the human world was where they could get what they wanted. Most of the demons, mostly foxes and bats, were causing mischief among the humans and sometimes hurting or killing someone. This got the Hellyians furious and they went all out to get the demons. The humans helped hide some demons in their homes, having made friends with them and welcomed them with open arms.
Soon the Hellyians backed off, not wanting to make a scene, and are currently waiting for an opportune moment to capture the demons. The demons and humans are now living together in peace, with an occasional prank here and there from their mischief friends.
Some demons taught humans the ways of their kind and even opened up a magic school for the ‘gifted’. ‘Gifts’ could not be taught, only perfected and only those born with the ‘gift’ were allowed to enroll in the school. Gerard was one of them. He could control small bodies of water and produce tidal waves and small hurricanes. He wanted to learn how to control large bodies of water and produce bigger and better tidal waves, just in case the Hellyians decided to attack. For this, he went to the magic school where he was taught by the lovely pixie Miss Trinity. He was getting better at his magic, or so his teacher said.
“Do you think the Hellyians will attack any time soon?” Gerard asked looking towards the sky.
“Hopefully not. I don’t want to leave here, this place is so beautiful.” Nataomi exclaimed throwing her arms up in the air and smiling widely. She too was gifted, but in the field of fire. When she wanted to she could create small fires and cause smoke to appear out of no where, which she did occasionally. She has little control over her gift and often caused fires by mistake. But Gerard still hung out with her, they were best friends and basically did everything together. “Come on Gerry, I want to go and visit the temple. You said you would show me!” Nataomi said pouting cutely.
“Alright, alright, Nat. This way!” Gerard said pointing his index finger and walking towards it. Nataomi smiled and bounded off after Gerry, challenging him to a race to the hill coming up, which Gerry automatically agreed to and they took of running, Nataomi being much faster.
“I win!” She exclaimed, smiling proudly at the top of the hill.
“Well you’re a cat demon, so you run faster.” Gerard argued.
“Nope, I won fair and square. You’re just a sore loser Gerry.” She stuck her tongue out at him, her small fangs showing.
“I am not!”
“Are to!”
“Am not!”
“Are to!”
And so on they went, arguing while they walked to the temple. The temple was built by the demons to worship their goddesses. They were known as the Elemental Goddesses and presided over and protected the Eight Elements: Water, Wind, Fire, Earth, Dark, Light, Thunder, and Neutral. Gerard had been here many times to pray to his goddess for strength and guidance and he promised Nataomi he would show her. Maybe if she prayed to her goddess, she would help Nataomi with her training and control. Hopefully.
