Here I Kneel
Author:
Harleen Napier PM
Not great, but it's about praying it wasn't someone you cared for a certain pain belonged to.

Woke up again today

And still your name is all I can say

You're still in every breath

Just as you have been since even before your death

-

Every breath I breathe

Has me longing to find you didn't really leave

To find that you're still here

It's all that stalls my tears

-

Some days I expect to find it was me instead

That it isn't really you who's dead

Because I still can't believe you would do this to us

And here I thought all I felt for you was lust

-

Every breath I breathe

Has me longing to find you didn't really leave

To find that you're still here

It's all that stalls my tears

-

This still seems so unreal

That here I kneel

Praying that it wasn't you

Who that pain belonged to

-

Every breath I breathe

Has me longing to find you didn't really leave

To find that you're still here

It's all that stalls my tears
