Lady Death, my darling, come to me soon

I lust after your dark promise of rest

In my ear, your lullaby, did you croon

My tormented soul you almost caressed

-

Lord Life, my dearest, you must call to me

Perform an action I cannot resist

Here, I will help you bring myself to thee:

This dagger you must drag across your wrists

-

Of course, my dear mistress, that I will do

Anything to bring us close together

So close, darling sweetheart, I am to you

One more cut and I will be yours forever

-

Beloved master, how close we have grown

I can almost feel your passionate face

One more cut, and we will not be alone

We will fuse in an eternal embrace

-

I can feel the life-blood leaving me now

Darling Death, I am so very afraid

It’s too late to turn back, anyhow

Farewell to my life I willingly bade

-

You’re slipping into my country, young fool

As I see your petrified eyes, I gloat

You trusted me, you didn’t think me cruel

You’re wrong, you realize, as I slit your throat
