“The Defiled Sanctuary”

By: AgentFade2Black

Where’s the girl who I can be a hero for?

Where is she in the mists of time?

Why am I condemned to these thrice-damned mistakes?

To only work out my problems in word and rhyme?

She was so pure, so innocent

But yet I disrupted this purity and sanctuary

Who am I to be worthy of taking it all back?

After all, to these acts I am the falsary

My blade lies shattered at my feet,

No longer fit to burden my sorrow and dishonor

To be cast away from Inferno into Juddeca

To the world, but mostly to her, I am a goner.

But wait! Maybe I can salvage something

Perhaps I am not in direst of dire straits

These thousand dreams all have things in common;

I have just the corrupted keys; her heart lies beyond the gates.

But how do I cleanse these keys of sorrow?

With this dies irae; this day of wrath

Cast me down, strike me down

But do not let me steer away from the true path.
