I made a m.i.s.t.a.k.e today

And while it’s not like what I said

Hasn’t been in the back of my mind

(torturing me, wanting to speak,

Wanting to scream),

I really didn’t mean to let it s.l.i.p

--

I’ve told you I love you

(Alright, so I waited until you said it first),

And while it’s not like the future

Hasn’t been mentioned at all,

What we’ve been saying has never been so

Daring

--

I talked about forever, forever with you

Forever as us, t.o.g.e.t.h.e.r

I didn’t mean to, it really was a mistake.

You asked me if I misspoke

And in an act of bravery

(or was it extreme, overwhelming stupidity?)

I told you that I meant it.

--

I expected you to laugh at me

I thought you might be afraid

(most guys would, I think).

But you weren’t afraid,

you didn’t run off, and best of all

You feel it too.

a/n: It’s less than brilliant, and not moving…but I had to get it out. Thank you for reading.
