A+ A- |
We pulled the seine across the mud
as the water lowered in the lake
The net stretched tight
jerking as every fish
fought for its life
Those that slipped under
made quick swirls in the muddy water
and were gone
But the net always wins
Combing the water clean
spilling the fish across the bank
To roll and gasp in the dust.
