I watched as you fell.

Falling for eternity.

Like a petal from a delicate flower.

I felt powerless,

Alone,

As though my world ended.

I could not stop it.

I watched helplessly as you plummeted to the cold hard ground.

You flew away to the one place I couldn’t follow.

I looked into your eyes praying to see the vibrant and beautiful spirit I had always seen before...

But...

All I saw was nothing.

You stared off into space, never blinking.

I will never forget you.

I shall remain helpless and weak forever.

Until I’m blessed with the honorable death that will send me back to you.
