(I wrote this a long time ago.. Don't hate.)
Little Sister.
Little sister don’t you cry.
Momma loved you, she said good bye.
Now you let those tears, along with painful fears, slide down you’re cheeks without shame.
I know the world is falling down for you.
Things are happening that you don’t want to.
But little girl don’t you cry.
I’ll stand here by your side.
Little sister please don’t cry.
People pity your tears of pain.
Nothing helps, I know that shame.
You are so young, so pure and small.
I’ll hold your hand, so you won’t fall.
Little sister, smile again.
Like you did when spring began.
Forget you’re woes, they bring you down.
Little sister please don’t frown.
I saw your best friend, the other day.
She asked me if you were okay.
I told her you were fine.
You can tell her when it’s time.
Little sister no more tears.
You know your friends do love you.
They try to help. It’s the best thing they do.
They also want to see you smile again.
Little sister, you have friends.
We’re both hurting, deeply inside.
You’re so brave, why do you hide?
I hear you crying softly at night.
Little sister, don’t loose your fight.
Momma will come back, I promise you that.
I promise, I swear, I do.
Those pretty angels who took her away.
Will one day take us too.
So for now, little sister, don’t you cry.
You don’t need to say good bye. She is watching carefully, in the clouds where we can’t see.
Little sister. Please don’t cry.
