Beauty

Who approved

Of the idea

That beauty is

Light, blonde hair,

Pale blue eyes,

Flawless porcelain skin

And a long,

Thin

Body?

I have brown hair,

Not chestnut,

Not maple.

Brown.

I have eyes

That are this

Stony

Blue-grey-green color

That you really cannot name.

I am scarred

Along my legs, my arms,

My back.

I am small,

Compact

With a belly that sticks out

A bit.

But I feel beautiful.
