“Repentance Long Since Forsaken”

By: AgentFade2Black

This is an odd feeling

Why does it come now of all days?

Could it be what I’ve been seeking?

My repentance, long forsaken, comes in the haze.

It empowers me, drives me,

And summons me back from Juddeca

I am alive again, truly alive

My reward for visiting my own personal Mecca.

With these sparkling eyes I rise

I join those who live without scars

And reborn from the darkness of sorrow

I look up, and see the blazing stars.

There is no name upon these stars

From whom I seek redemption

Even the idiot of idiots affects me not

His name written upon the list of exemption

I draw my sword, facing the dawn

Ready to charge into a new day

I seek no justice, I’ve won my trial by fire

I hold my sword, keeping the scars at bay.
