There was a girl named Katie, who was in love with Seth. She would do anything for him, anything at all.

Katie spent all of her time, trying to figure out if Seth was in love with her, they had always been friends, since they were little. They were inseparable, constantly flirting, and constantly together. Then one night, Seth finally said the words Katie wanted to hear: "I love you". Katie was so happy that she couldn't concentrate for the rest of the week. That's when one of her friends told her, "I think he meant it as a friend." Katie was disappointed, but believed her friend, since she had never lied before.

The next week, Katie and Seth were talking on the phone, and Seth said "Do you want to get together?" and she said "With who?" and he said "Just me." And she got excited again. Of course she said yes. The next day she told her friend, who said "Where are you going?", Katie responded, "To the Zoo." Her friend then asked "Can I come?" Thinking nothing of it, Katie said, alright. Her friend would never do anything anyways, probably just go off with Seth's sister.

Katie and Seth planed the date, but Katie's friend couldn't make it, so she says they should do it the next week, Katie and Seth both agree, but the next week comes, and Katie finds that she was called into work that day, so she can't go. That night, the friend tells her that she and Seth really hit it off, and now they're best friends, and Seth told her that he liked her. Katie was devastated, but licked her wounds and wanted Seth to be happy, so she wished them luck.

Then Katie's friend called her two days later, crying, saying that she and Seth had broken up, her friend now hated Seth, and wanted to make sure that Katie would be on her side. Katie said, "Alright, I guess he really hurt you." Katie told her that she wouldn't talk to him, to make her feel better, and her friend thanked her.

A month passes, and Seth always calls Katie, but Katie says she's to busy to talk. Then her friend comes to her home one day, and says "You know, Seth said he never really liked you, he was just trying to make you happy, that's why he said it. He said your kinda plain." Katie a bit disappointed and a bit angry at Seth was still in love with him, and she came to school the next day, wearing make up.

Her friend pulls her aside a week later, and they see Seth and another girl walking down the hall together. She's tall, beautiful, blonde and skinny. Her friend whispers, "He's so shallow, that's all he wants." That night, Katie refuses to eat dinner, goes out buys all new clothes, high heals, and blonde hair color.

She comes to school the next day, looking completely different, but still her self at heart, just appearing a lot different. She though still stayed away from Seth, because she didn't believe that he loved her, and he was just using her, she still wished he would love her.

Finally she can't stand being enemies with her long time friend, so she calls Seth one night, and they start to have a wonderful conversation, her cell phone rang three times, but she didn't answer because she wanted so much to talk to him. Then after an hour, her friend calls Seth, crying. Apparently her friends mother was yelling at her. Katie wondered why her friend wanted to be with him instead of with her, but she allowed it, her friend often fought with her mother. Seth tells Katie, "I still want to talk to you, I really miss talking to you. Love ya, Bye." She knows he really doesn't, but she goes and watches TV.

The next day, at a party, her friend has completely changed, she's wearing black, smoking, and drinking. Katie can't believe it, Seth spends all of his time with Katie's friend, trying to get her to stop. While Katie, having not eaten for nearly a week, starts to feel faint, and falls over. While Katie's out, she finds that her friend ran away and Seth's out trying to find her. Katie urgently trying to find her friends, walks in on them making out. She runs away, and hides. Neither of them come to find her.

At home that night, she steals some of her brothers drugs, and starts smoking pot, her families long line of depression hits her, and she starts making cuts on her arm, trying to get rid of all the pain. She goes to bed with her brother's friend, and becomes pregnant.

She goes to school a month later, just having found out she's pregnant, and her friend tells her that she's just a poser, that she's just trying to be like all of them. But she has left her self, and become something more. Because of her depression, she decides there's nothing left, he doesn't love her, and no matter what she does, he never will. She goes home, writes a note to him, takes some rat poison, and smokes one last weed, then lies back, waiting for death to come. She couldn't change enough for him.

Right when she's about to die, Seth comes rushing in, and takes her into his arms. He wipes away all of her make up, her face now scared and dry, takes the drugs out of her hand, wraps up her bleeding arms, and pours water down her throat. "Please come back Katie! Please come back! I love you!"

It turns out, Seth did mean what he said, he did love her, he always had. Her friend had loved him as well. Seth never liked her friend, just had cared for her in a friendly manor. Her friend had changed the time for Katie's work, paid the girl to talk to Seth, and had kissed Seth, even though Seth resisted. Katie hadn't known though, because she thought it was what he wanted, she did it all in the name of love.
