I saw the sky.

I watched the clouds morph as hey raced.

In awe, I tried to name their shapes,

but could not destroy

such a masterpiece.

I saw the sky.

I watched the blue fade into pink

while clouds did move like rainbow sheep.

In silent worship,

I beheld the sight.

I saw the sky.

I watched each star come forth alight.

I knew them all as best I could.

This is my joy:

the eternal sky.
