Happy Mothers Day

When I was small,

You were there for it all.

The first steps I took,

Were for your loving look.

When my silence was broken,

My love for you was spoken.

When I wanted to play,

You stayed with me all day.

When I wanted to cry,

Your hugs were always in great supply.

When school first came along,

You told me to be strong.

When I was in despair,

You told me how much you care.

As I grew older,

I started leaning less on your shoulder.

I miss the way we used to be,

A time before we started to disagree.

When we used to hang out all day,

And just have fun and play.

Even though we sometimes fight,

I always know everything will be alright.

No matter what will take place,

We'll always have our tight embrace.

I love you more than I can say,

So for now 'Happy Mothers Day.'
