Rose Song
Well, this is the end is it? No matter. Let me explain what is happening, about three hours I thought I would live forever and then she came. Her lips were soft as a forsaken thought, and more consuming than a nightmare. Eyes that could captivate the devil and bend him to her will. I can only think of her as simply perfect, yet a haunting perfection. Something that should be left in a fairytale or a horrid nightmare, I don’t know which. But there she was in front of me in a dream or somewhere else I still don’t know. Much of this and her is a mystery to me, although I am happily ignorant. She took my hand and walked into a rose garden, bizarre and still beautiful. The roses sang to me, songs of their passion and my mortality. The roses seemed so familiar to me, like I have smelled each one of them. Her eyes met mine. I saw the most frightening thing, truth, pure unwavering true. Her eyes reflected a millennium of sorrow, and joy, and the vilest deception. I was devoted to her. Anything she wished, I was hers; I would tear the flesh from my bones to please her. She leaned in close to me and smiled. We walked through the garden, the songs of the roses swirled around us. Despite everything that was happening all I had in my heart was peace, a warmth which I haven’t felt since the years of my childhood. We could have walked for miles, she admired the garden as if it were the first time she had ever been here. I knew our time was at an end when looked deep into me, leaning in close I felt her warm breathe on my ear. “Home” that’s all she whispered to me. The word held more joy than I thought possible. I closed my eyes feeling her warm embrace. When I opened them again I was back into my muted reality fading away happily, returning to my home.
