Melodrama

Grey skies, grey trees, grey clouds. He steps off the school bus, neither turning nor looking up, and begins the trudge up the hill toward his house. I can tell just by the tilt of his head that he’s unhappy. Grinning a little to myself, I follow him off. Time to cheer up Mr. Grumpy. I’ve just remembered a previous incident, in which harsh words were exchanged. I paste a look of anguish on my face. “Hey. Hey! Wait up!”
He turns.
“You hurt her!” I moan. He doesn’t know it, but I’m faking. I nearly burst out laughing at the confused look on his face, but begin to fake-sob, instead. “How can you treat her like she’s some kind of… some kind of…” I stomp toward him in a melodramatic sort of way, ignoring the questioning looks on the faces of my friends.
I get really close, pushing my face up in his, and switch into angry mode. “Like she’s some kind of idiot!”
He takes a step back. “I’m sorry...?”
I swing my arms up in the air in mock-annoyance. “That’s all you can say? Sorry?” Leaning close, I whisper in his ear, “I’m really not mad at you at all,”
And then I push him away, swinging myself around and staring at the sky, arms raised. “Why, why, God? How could you create someone so unfeeling?” And a part of me grows a little warmer at the roll of his eyes and the reluctant grin that spreads across his face.
I grin back at him. "Last one to my driveway's a rotten egg," I whisper. And he takes off, racing me up the hill.

Based on a little daydream of mine.I wanted to make it longer, but whenI reread it, i didn't have the heart to change it much at all.
