Herz:

The blood dripped wordlessly from his mouth, into a deep redpool on the floor. There were bits of meat in the floating midst the red, though what they had once been was a mystery to all but him. And the corpse with its sightless eyes inches from the puddle. The observant type would notice the large hollow in the cadavers chest where something vital had once been.

"You deserved it, you know." He said, as he wiped the crimson liquid from his chin and licked it from his pale fingers. "I would have done anything for you. I did anything for you. But you had to go and betray me."

His movements were precise as he walked around the puddle, closer to the body. He kicked its side lightly and sighed.

"What a mess. You can never keep things simple, can you? You just had to fight, didn't you? It could have been quick-after what you did, you didn't deserve that, but it could have been. I could have just slit your pretty little throat and it would have all been done with. Did you really think you could take the knife from me? I didn't think you were that stupid."

He sighed again and got on his knees, to bend closer to the corpse.

"You know, I really loved you. And I hate you for that." He laughed, short and humorless. "And for a little while I thought you loved me too. How naive of me. And how very foolish. But that doesn't matter any more. None of that matters any more. What matters is this," He bent his head lower then, so his mouth was level with the body's ear.

"I ate your heart because you stole mine." He whispered. "I think we're even."

A/N: Just a little something I found in my writing notebook...I rather like it myself...using one of the characters from my first ever story o.0 I really like him...he's a bit insane though...

I think I use the word "puddle" too much, but there aren't many synonymns for "Puddle"...mein gott...

The title is German for Heart...I believe...unless I'm really wrong...sorry if I am o.o
