"Jake Dullahan."

"Go on," she murmured with her pen in mouth and glasses at the edge of her face. Her legs were folded and her papers were neatly stacked on a desk sitting in front of her. This was my psychiatrist, supposedly.

"I'm a 30 year old photographer. I work for a photography agency and take pictures of people, animals, landscape, you know. The usual nouns that are associated with photography. I live by myself and am currently single. The rest of my family lives in Boston, Massachusetts. I spend most of my time working or hanging around with my best friend, Victoria Styles, your niece. She prefers to be called Vicki but you already knew that. I have no pets but my hobbies include photography, obviously, reading, writing, and sitting by the campfire while telling ghost stories. Is there anything else about me that you want to know today? " I felt the words sorta tumble out of my mouth and had a hard time keeping up with myself.

"And you are here because..." she asked.

"I'm here because I found a piece of paper lying next to my bed this morning telling me to get dressed and ready to see a psychiatrist, or to be more exact, the paper said my psychiatrist," I replied.

"Is that how you always wake up?"

"No. I usually wake up and..." I felt myself drifting off again. No, stop it, Jake, stop it.

"And..." She leaned forward.

"I don't remember."

"You don't remember how you wake up everyday. "

"Yeah." I chuckled at myself then looked up at her. "You know this would be a lot easier if you told me what to call you by. Vicki forgot to mention that piece of information."

She laughed and sat back in her chair. "Dr. Weslyn, Michelle Weslyn. Call me whatever makes you the most comfortable."

I positioned myself upright and chuckled again. "Dr. Weslyn. I woke up this morning and do not remember anything in the last 30 years of my life. I don't think I'll be in the position to be comfortable anytime soon."

"Right. That's why you're here today."

Yeah, this is my psychiatrist.

Author's Note: Eh, I decided to add this section. A little insight and what not. Feel free to skip over this, the chapter is over anyways. I'm sorry for all the mistakes I made! I'm just glad I fixed...most of them. I hope I get reviews, that'd be nice. Constructive criticism is always welcomed, even if it is two and half axes to the heart. I'm currently working on chapter one, this is only the prologue. And, I think that's it. I hope you found some of this amusing and I hope I've said and done enough to keep you reading. Thanks for being my beta Kelsea, toast to you.
