Do you actually believe in heartache?
…heartbreak
If so then you know love
The kind of love the dreamers love to dream of
The kind poets contrive and set aside for doom and gloom
And yet if you know poetry then you know that they always come back to
…heartache and heartbreak

Love and suffering go hand in hand
Especially when a romantic drives the pen to paper
And creates a world where lovers are left wanting
Panting screaming expiates
And yelling

Why

Why did you leave me with only your memory?
A fading photograph ripped along the edge

Couldn’t you have taken me along?
Was I such a burden or perhaps even a mistake
That you had to slip away like a criminal unto the night

…Did you
Did you kiss me goodnight or call out a soft slow goodbye and hope the future would die or least long for truth that could fly
Was our love really so thin and transparent
Answer me and tell me
Tell me why

A/N: If your a fan of my work then you know that I haven't been writing poetry for a while now. I want you to know that it wasn't because I haven't wanted to but because I've been dealing with a sever case of writers block. I'm not a hundred percent better and this poem might not be my best but I'm trying to stretch my muscles and grow. So what's better way to learn and grow other than to tackle a subject I'm not to comfortable writingabout...love. I hope you enjoy and I wait longfully for your reviews.
