As

As the pale, sickly light

Passed through the foggy glass,

People laughed, ate and sang,

Not knowing it would not last.

As a jolt of surprise

Passed through the large liner,

People stopped for a moment

But the terror was minor.

As the minds of the innocent

Began to question the feeling,

But the false security they had

Was at then appealing.

As the clock struck midnight

And the lower floors began to fill,

The hearts of the workers

Began to stand still.

As five minutes passed calmly

Above, people began to move,

To the life boats and saviors,

Though most disapproved

As the orchestra played

In the cold, chilly light

People sat and watched,

Hearts frozen with fright

As People started to realize

The folly of their scorn,

They bent their heads in prayer,

Loved ones to mourn.

As Five score years,

Less six passed by,

We still remember the Titanic

And how so many died.
