Closeness

Like two beams
Of celestine moonlight
Your eyes penetrated mine,
And I was no longer blind.

Like warmth of flames
From deep within the sun
You are akin to me
And it always blows my mind.

Like two bricks held together
In a tall red wall with concrete
You lay close to me, whispering,
“There’s nothing to fear.”

Like a tale as old as time,
We become one again
As we look forward to new life,
We realize it begins here.
