Limbo of the Soul
I don’t wish for
slumber,
Yet I loathe my waking
hours.
Stuck between two
worlds.
Each failing to entice.
I can doze for the
night,
And even a portion of
the day.
But what remains when
reality beckons?
Less time than ever
before.
Then I’ll stay awake
for days on end!
I’ll put off what
should be done.
But suddenly reality
will beckon again,
Apathy’s wasted my
time once more.
