Somehow there’s still this part of me,
A delusional portion of my essence,
Which wishes, hopes…knows
I’ll one day have my chance with you.

This thought could rip and tear at me,
Rampage my mind, rendering me insane.
Mustn’t allow it to fester much longer…
It’s a fool’s hope, causing nothing but misery.

But how do I rid myself of such a notion?
An idea I’ve held tightly to for months on end?
By forging a massive rift between us,
Creating damage my mind deems irreparable.

So without further adieu,
