They always come at night or when I'm alone. They're ghosts. I don't care if you don't believe in them, but I do. Only because they won't leave me alone. Let me tell you the first time I accually saw a ghost:

I was over at a childhood friend's house, which was well over 100 years old. I was spending a night for her birthday party and there was no more room left in her bedroom to sleep in because everone else took it. So I slept in the most haunted place in the house, the living room. It was what I guess was 2:15 a.m. when it started. I woke up to a chill. The useless cover didn't save me from the air conditioning. The room was dark and the full moon bled through the glass doors, my only light. I heard footsteps walking into the kitchen, thinking someone went to go get a midnight sip. I looked over to only catch the person's foot dissapear past the open door. I fixed my hair and got up, too. I took the useless blanket with me because it was my only means of warmth. The wooden floor like an ice rink with me in the middle. I wanted to go back to the cozy couch, but I was already at the door. I walked through and was in the dining room. It was pitch black so I had to walk carefully. I made it into the kitchen. No one was there. Maybe they went back up when I didn't notice. I made my way over to the frige and opened it. I took out a coke can and opened it. The can made a pop noise. I took a big zip until my nose felt fuzzy and my eyes watered. I made a quiet burp. When I closed the frige, I heard giggling of about five little girls at once. I looked around but no one was there. Must of been my imagination. No, it wasn't. I turned back around because I felt like someone was there. A skinny girl of white skin and straight black hair glared at me. She had on a classic sundress and a frown. I wanted to scream but it felt like my throat had it's own mind. I couldn't scream. she mumbled something. More like mouthed it out without a voice. Then, strangely but slowly she dissapeared. I raced to my friend's room and made sure to wake everyone up, even if my voice was a litte staticy. My friend ignored what I said and said it was just a dream. The next day, my grandfather's sister died.
