Startle me with mysteries,
Canter ghostly close to me,
Whisper in my ear.

Trace my ribs,
In and out,
Make each jump, and
Settle cleverly on a
Kite;
Without me not near you.

Then plunge your eyes into
Mine with a slow and steady-
Heavy, raging, formula-
Meaningful destination.

You startle me.
