I Fell All Over You

Met you,
I couldn't breathe when you
Looked toward me,
I couldn't see the leaves
In the breeze,
I tangled my foot in a
Vine made of air
And fell all over you.

You are my heart, I'm all
Tangled in you and the air
Solidifies when I see you.

You touch my chin, grab my
Arm, and enchant me along
With you off the edge of
My world and right into
Yours. You. Gray Hair
Like you're older than your
Parents and you made them one
Day when you stared into the sun
For too long and thought you
Saw people in throngs, marching,
Pleading.

They spin like tops, wobbling to
A finish, clattering, their eyes
Upon you and your irises faded
Out for a dark moment and
Your brain whirs while your
Breathe stops and you swear
You saw me in another life.
