Rain & I

I stand as the rain falls around me

I watch it shimmer in the dark

I feel its cool touch on my skin

I wish it would was away everything

So I stand and I watch and I fell and I wish

Knowing the rain will continue

Not judging, pitiless and true

The lightening that illuminates the sky

Only brings more tears

As if God is crying for me

But he isn’t. He’s not there. He never was.

So I jump and I scream and I curse and I cry

And I crumple and break

You’re gone.
