Many weeks later
You open the door
We smile
And hold our arms out
You walk towards us
But then walk past
You don't even look at us once
The smiles are wiped off our faces
Our arms drop to our sides
Are we invisible to you?
What happened behind the door?
You're so pale
You look like
You're about to collapse
Any moment
We all start to cry
And call out to you
"Please come back! We miss you so much!"
But you walk on
For a few minutes
Then we see you trip
We all run
To catch you
And it's then
That we realise
Just how much you mean to us...
