Things will improve once you have paid for me

Just a year left with me as an expense

A bill to pay is all I’ve come to be

A greedy debt eating each extra cent

Amazing that errors cost so much

It is good of you to fix your mistakes

But I am sorry you view me as such

But to be happy please do what it takes

Pay for me like you would pay a whore

Pay off my soul like a heating bill

Give me a check and think of me no more

Just a memory that money can kill

But no matter how much you pay you’ll always still be haunted

Because it was never the money that my dying spirit wanted
