Unwanted Tears

She cries into her pillow
Every single night
Knowing she'll never
Be with him.

She's always there
When he needs her most
His best friend
And that's all she'll ever be.

She doesn't know
That he dreams of her
And nothing else
At night

She doesn't know
That he loves her.
So she sheds all those
Unwanted tears

He stares out the window
During class
Thinking of nothing
But her.

He grins at her in the hallway
Hoping to see
Something new
In her eyes.

He doesn't know
That there can be nothing new
For what he's looking for
Has always been there.

He doesn't know
That she loves him
So he secretly blinks back
Unwanted tears.

Don't they know
That they belong together?
Don't they know
That this is fate?

If only they would realize
That they are meant for eachother
And there is no reason for
Unwanted tears.

But even fate
Can be altered.
Even destiny
Can be changed.

So for now
They dream of eachother
And wish for an end to
Unwanted tears.
