Burn

Dark whispers echoed far around,

The silence of hate spread deep within soul.

Clutching itself to lifeless being.

Abandoning again an empty goal.

An endless presence of immortality,

Sprung fresh through veins of cold hard lies.

Rise new to baking gleaming prayers,

Embers spiral into noir skies.

Fingers prise and blessings deepen,

Like perfume melting through aged skin.

Trumpets blare in angst and honesty.

Catching graces from within.

Ever heard drumming, ever heard bleating.

Charring deep and hoping to be hurting.

Once heard beating, once heard screaming,

Roasting flesh jarred bones of old…Burning.
