what would you do if you have one last day with someone? i wrote this for the guy who taught me how to love and to be loved. he made me feel things i couldn't. but i know its too late. i will forever regret the day i left him.

I'd kiss you good morning and hug you too
We would watch the sun rise, listen to the waves
I'd thank Him, for He sent you to keep me safe
If I could spend one last day with you
I promise I wouldn't waste a moment or two
I'd take you for a walk down the sandy shore
I'd tell you I love you, then I'd say it once more
If I could have one last day with you
There are a thousand things that I would do
I'd dry my tears cause I know you'd stay
I won't let my fears take this moment away
If I could have one last day with you
I'd take the chance to be beside you
I'd share my dreams, I'd hold you tight
Wishing endlessly as the sun fades into the night
If I could spend one last day with you
I'd hold your hand till the day is through
We'd lie under the stars, right beneath the sky
As I wish no end would come tonight
