I walked up the street to a big brick building. It looked moldy and decrepit at first, but when I got closer I saw that it was covered with fine carvings, and looked disgusting from far away, but beautiful from up close. I walked in and instantly smelled burnt incense and dust. There was a big sign right when you walked in saying “ANTIQUES: THE PAST IS PRESENT WHEN YOU BUY AN ANTIQUE!” I stepped around the sign and almost ran into a door. Not one that leads to places as you might expect, but one that was one of many hanging in rusty rows. I could almost hear the creaking and groaning of old wood balancing on rotting timbers. I could smell each and every one of those hundreds upon hundreds of doors, I could taste their cries and hear their pleadings, to be used again as a gateway into special secret places, that only that one door could account for. Each and every one of those doors had a story to tell. So I went up to the first one that caught my eye. I t was a master piece if I do say so myself. It was made partially of stained glass, blues and magentas and violets all reflected the deep oaken carving of roses and gardens that flowed through the pool of sparkling glass. Wrought iron spiked it’s way through the soft wood like immense thorns, inviting and reproaching at the same time. I brushed my hand against a flower petal and felt suddenly as if I were again in my beloved mother’s arms. I stepped away knowing that it was all real. The whole journey I had taken just moments ago to get to this forsaken world of knowing and feeling and truth. A place where everything that you thought was impossible, already existed. Everything you questioned in every day life… there was an answer. Everything happens for a reason, I finally realize that. Everything I had gone through, every trial of my imagination was for this one hour. I had to choose which door. Which door would etch my name into history of all kinds. I had to choose the door of our saving, the door that would bring me back to the beloved arms of Griffin. I had to choose right or all of everyone’s LIVES would be for nothing. Now I had to get to work. Right now, if I wanted to spend precisely 3 minuets with every door. Ok here goes…
