Chapter 6

We woke up the next morning still on the floor. I was laying on top of Will still. He was still sleeping, so I didn’t move. I lay there on top of him for about another fifteen minutes, then Will finally opened his eyes. “Hay, baby,” he said. “You look so beautiful.” I giggled and blushed. Will sat up and kissed me on the forehead. “So, how are you today?” Will asked me.

“I feel wonderful and in love,” I told him smiling.

“Me too,” Will gave me another kiss on the lips this time. I heard someone coming. Bridget walked in the room. “So Willy you are still here…” She trailed off when she saw me. “You bitch! You are the one he is in love with.”

“And I love him too,” I said standing up and putting my hands on my hips. Will put a towel around his waist and stood up behind me. Bridget raised her hand to slap me across the face, but Will caught her hand in mid air before she touched me.

“Don’t you ever try to hit her again!” Will said throwing Bridget’s hand down.

“Well,” Bridget said with a huff. “I guess I’ll leave you two alone then.” Bridget turned around and walked out of the room.

“Thank you so much,” I said breathing a sigh of relief. Will gave me a hug and we walked out of the room, holding hands along the way.

The next day Will and I decided to invite Jade and Bryan out to lunch. We all met at a little diner near the end of town called Luke’s. They had pretty decent food there and it was a fun place to hang out at. We all met there around twelve o’ clock and we were seated right away. “So what did you guys do last night?” Jade asked Will and I just trying to be nosey. “I tried calling Tessa’s house last night, but no one answered.”

“Okay lets change the subject, shall we?” I said, my face turning bright red.

“Oh, come on Tessa,” Jade said, trying to pursue the subject. “We’re all friends here.” Right then our waiter walked up. I gave a sigh of relief.

“So what can I get for you guys today?” You could tell that this waiter was new. His hands were shaking and his voice was quivering like he was nervous.

“I’ll have a cheeseburger and a strawberry milkshake,” I told him with a smile. The others all ordered the same thing. We handed the menus back to the waiter.

“So back to the subject of last night,” Bryan said, pushing the subject again.

“I think the question is, what did you two do last night?” I said giving Bryan and Jade a big grin. It fell silent at our table.

“Look,” Jade said pointing. “Here comes our waiter with our food.” The same nervous waiter came walking toward us. He started passing out our milkshakes to us. His hands were still shaking and when it came time to give me my milkshake, his hands were shaking even more. He started to hand me it, but it slipped out of his hand. It went all over my clothes and on the floor. I stood up really fast in shock. “I am sooooo sorry,” the waiter said trying to wipe off some of the milkshake off of my shirt.

“It’s okay,” I said taking napkins off of the table. “Jade come with me to the bathroom and help me get cleaned up.” She got up and we both headed toward the bathroom.

“Dude, why did you do that to my girl?” Will asked angrily.

“I didn’t mean to…,” the waiter was cut off by Will.

“I know you spilt the milkshake on accident, but I mean why did you touch her boobs when you were whipping it off her shirt,” Will said. “I know you did that on purpose.”

“Man, I was just trying to help,” The waiter said standoffishly.

“No you weren’t,” Will said while he stood up. “You were just trying to cop a feel. That my property and no body violates that.” As Will said that he put his fists up, ready to fight. I walked out as Will was doing this and heard exactly what he said.

“So, that’s all you think I am?” I said getting angrier by the minute. “You think I’m your property?”

“Tessa…I didn’t mean…” Will tried to explain.

“No, don’t try to explain,” I said putting my hands on my hips. “I knew exactly what you meant.” I slapped Will across the face. “I can’t believe that’s all I mean to you. I thought you loved me.” I started crying. I ran out of the diner, with Jade close behind.

“I can’t believe you could be so heartless,” Bryan said and soon left the diner after us.

“This is all your fault!” Will yelled at the waiter. “Just if you hadn’t spilt that damn milkshake on her, none of this would have ever happened.” Will punched the waiter in the face. He fell to the ground, blood pouring out of his nose. Will walked out of the diner rubbing his fist, witch was swelling up. The waiter stood up holding his nose with his hand. There was blood leaving through his fingers. He walked over to the counter where there were some napkins. He said to him self, “What a nice welcoming to the new guy in town.”
