One Luminary Clock Against the Sky

I sit upon the rocky shore
The breakers fill my ears
I turn my eyes upward
And see the moon smiling down on me
For it is now the hour

The wind grows cold against my cheek
I will not leave this place
For the moon has promised me a crown of stars
Like the one he himself wears
For it is now the hour

His deep blue robe surrounds me
A soft velvet with white sequins
He sends a walkway upon the water
And beckons me to his side
For it is now the hour

The wind howls as if to call me away
I try to look away from the moon
But, alas, it is too late
And I have become one with the night
For it is now the hour
