Where Were You Last Night?
This is just a silly little thing I wrote in Lit class awhile back. We were told to write a short story in 10 minutes that started with the words, ‘Where were you last night’?
Anyway, this is sort of based on my friend, whose nickname is Stavros, and his celebrity crush, Christina Milian.
Stavros cowered in fear of his wife’s wrath.
“But, sweetie, I…”
“But NOTHING! I am so mad at you! I don’t know if I can forgive you! Don’t you ‘sweetie’ me!”
Stavros started to cry as he saw the love of his life’s eyes go dark with anger. What did I ever do to deserve this? He silently asked.
Christina’s glare deepened when she saw him cry. In the early months of their marriage, when they were head-over-heels in love, she would have been sympathetic, but now his wimpyness was just plain annoying.
“Christina, I’m so sorry! Please forgive me!”
She sighed as she saw him pout. It was just so sad, he was like a little puppy dog. She felt her love for him return and she was about to forgive him when a cell phone ring started playing from the closet. A muffled curse accompanied it.
“Huh?” Said Stavros. He crosses to the closet door and opened it. Out stepped Channing, their attractive, single next-door neighbor.
As soon as Christina saw Channing and remembered their wonderful night together, she felt her love for Stavros fade away again.
“What’s going on here? Christina, why is Channing in the closet?” Stavros asked, completely bewildered.
“Stavros, I’ve decided to leave you for Channing. He’s smarter, handsomer, and an all-around better person than you are.”
Stavros started to cry again as she threw a suitcase at him. Christina didn’t care this time, though.
Because, Stavros really was pathetic.
Toodles!
