A.N. Finally! I'm really happy to say that the evil writers block has allowed me to actually update a story for once. I guess everything has started winding down enough that I'm not completely stressed out. I hope you enjoy the first chapter of Forever and Eternal that has been posted in a while. Once again I'm so sorry for the long wait.

Chapter 8:

I was walking into the school building the next morning going over everything that had happened to me the night before. To say my parents weren’t more than a little shocked when I walked in the door clinging to Ethan’s hand was the understatement of the year. I found myself quickly being bogged down by questions about our relationship. I noticed my mother was looking rather pleased with the prospective relationship between Ethan and me and that alone made we want to bury my head in the sand.

I glanced around me for Maria and Trudy, but when I didn’t see them in sight I continued to walk down the hallway towards my locker as well as my first class of the day. I was just about to get to my locker when I was suddenly jolted from behind. I fell to the ground feeling the jarring and throbbing pain from saying hello to the concrete. I groaned before pushing myself up on my knees and turning around so I could catch my breath before standing all the way up.

The person who had crashed into me was looking behind him glaring at those that had pushed him. I looked over his features from the bright blue eyes to the silky golden blonde locks. He looked like the perfect main character of an endless romance novel. I was shocked when he finally turned to face me and his eyes filled with shock before he took in everything about my features as well.

When I cleared my throat he finally dragged his eyes up to meet my own and then he extended a hand out for me to grasp. I took the proffered hand but not before giving the guy a good glare down at his earlier actions of checking me out. I was still curious as to why I hadn’t run into anyone I know yet but instead get slammed into by what I would think was a new student.

“I’m sorry bout that,” the boy said while pulling me to my feet.

“That’s okay. I guess I just wasn’t expecting to be planted face first into the floor this morning,” I replied dusting off my butt and stretching my sore limbs that ached from the impact of hitting.

“My name is Shawn Vander and I’m new to the school. This girl who was showing me around apparently had a boyfriend that doesn’t like her to be with any other guys at all and thought that I was flirting with her. So he shoved me back and I fell into you, although right now I’m beginning to be glad that he did so,” he replied with a wink pushing his blonde shaggy hair out of his face.

“Oh well I’m Allison Robins, my friends call me Ally though,” I replied just to be polite.

“Allison is a very pretty name I’ll be sure to remember it,” Shawn replied with a wink before saying a quick goodbye as the first bell rang.

I was picking out my books for my first two classes from my locker when I heard Trudy’s voice along with another deeper masculine voice. I turned around when I heard them right beside me and glared at my best friend and Alex. Alex looked kind of taken aback by my angry face, but Trudy took it in stride and leaned against the locker next to mine.

“So Ally, I’m sorry about being really late this morning. Alex and I had to drop off his siblings before coming to school and I couldn’t get a hold of you this morning by cell phone to tell you that M is sick,” Trudy replied and when I continued to glare she sighed in exasperation.

“It’s alright,” I replied after a few minutes giving up on being mad at her.

“What the hell happened to you?” Trudy suddenly exclaimed grabbing my elbow which I had thrown out in front of me while falling in a careless attempt to break my fall.

“Nothing I just had a run in with the new kid, literally,” I replied pulling my elbow away from her grasp.

We continued to talk for a few minutes more before heading to our first class. Most of the day just continued on without a problem and it wasn’t until lunch that I noticed that Ethan hadn’t been there all day. When I made a comment to Alex about it he told me that Ethan was doing something in the principal’s office all day.

When I was getting ready to leave school I ran into Shawn Vander again. Well more or less actually he was leaning against my locker waiting for me when I got there. I walked up and gave him a look that I had hoped portrayed the want for him to move out of the way of my locker. He got the hint and moved to the side a bit so I could open it up, but he continued to wait patiently for me to finish what I had come to my locker for.

“So Miss Robins are you free this weekend?” the boy bluntly asked in a cocky voice.

“For you…” I started sweetly turning to face him, but before I could finish the conversation my attention was caught by Ethan who was walking down the hallways with a glare on his face.

“For me?” Shawn prompted waving a hand in my face and snapping me from my train of thought.

“Huh? What was the question?” I decided to play dumb hoping maybe he would get the subtle hint before Ethan arrived on the scene.

“I asked if you would like to go out on a date with me this weekend,” Shawn replied very calmly as if this sort of thing happened often.

“No she will not,” I heard Ethan’s voice answer for me and I couldn’t help making eye contact with Ethan.

“Hey man let the lady answer for herself,” Shawn answered taking the comment from Ethan in stride.

I stood there looking between the two of then with worries on my features. I didn’t want to say anything to either of them. I know I had promised Ethan that I would try my best last night to let him prove to me everything that was possible between us, but at the same time I was scared of the possibility of more than just anger between the two of us.

By the time I slipped out of my thoughts Ethan was having a staring contest with Shawn. Shawn was trying not to be freaked out by the dark haired boy who had deep blue tips on his hair. Ethan turned to me and tried to slip in between Shawn and me to cut off all conversation between the two of us. I know he was about to say something but he was interrupted by one of his many groupies showing up.

The girl was named Jessica Stein and she was friends with Stacy but wasn’t as much of a slut as Sullivan was. The only difference was that Jessica wasn’t as much of an attention whore as Stacy was. The girl grasped onto Ethan’s arm and clung on for dear life like he was he own personal lifeline.

“What the hell is your problem?” Shawn said apparently fed up with Ethan.

“My problem is you!” Ethan said while trying to remove Jessica from his arm.

“Obviously you think you are Mr. Big Man on campus but listen dude you don’t have to have every hot babe in love with you. Let me have this one and I promise we will all be happy,” Shawn said and nodded his head in my direction.

I didn’t even have time to say anything to stop Ethan before he shoved Jessica away from him as gently as possible before throwing himself at Shawn. His hand made contact with Shawn’s jaw and then the two were on the ground attacking each other. I stood there with my mind working in slow motion. I didn’t know at all what I could possibly say to make them stop. I know Jessica stood off to the side screaming at the two of them to break it up.

When I realized how much noise was being made I finally snapped back into awareness. I ran towards the two fighting boys and did the only thing I could think of to make them stop at the moment. I kicked Ethan as hard as I could in the side throwing him off balance. I wish I had known that Shawn was about to throw a punch or I would have waited as I watched the fist smack Ethan in the face. He rolled off of Shawn and lay at my feet looking up at me with a confused look.

When he noticed the worried expression on my face however he just collapsed back and tried to catch his breath. I was staring at the two of them and was surprised when Shawn stood up and spit out a bit of blood before turning to face the two of us. He looked at me with a frankly scary lustful look before gazing back down to Ethan.

“This isn’t over man! I don’t know what the hell your problem is, but damn we’re going to settle this eventually!” Shawn said before flashing me a glance once more and then leaving.

“What the hell is his problem?” I heard Jessica’s voice exclaiming before she rushed over to Ethan and began acting like a mother hen towards him.

“Jessica, back off!” Ethan exclaimed trying to push away her hands.

I sighed and stepped over Ethan and Jessica before gathering my book bag from the locker and shutting it. I stepped over him again and began walking down the hallway towards the place where my car was parked. I had just opened the front door and was about to get in when I felt a tug on my arm. I turned around only to be pushed up against the car frame of my door.

“Ethan, what are yo…” was all I got out before he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine.

I felt his lips brush over mine gently causing shivers that I didn’t know were possible to travel up my spine. His hand came up to cup my face his thumb was gently stroking my cheek and his finger tips were splayed in my hair. I was shocked but at the same time it felt amazing to me. I couldn’t help but kiss him back.

I don’t know how long we stood there kissing, but when we eventually broke apart both our breaths were ragged and his eyes were slightly glassed over from passion. I couldn’t form words so I just kept staring at him with my forehead leaning against his. I felt so comfortable there that I didn’t want to move away from him, but I knew that eventually I would have to separate from him.

“Are you headed to your house?” Ethan asked after several more moments of silence between us.

“Yea, I have to get home and do something for my parents before tonight. Even though they still haven’t told me what exactly I’m doing,” I replied unable to help myself as I reached up and ran my hand through his spiky hair.

“I know my mom has done the same thing to me. She told me to follow you home today so I can help you with whatever you are doing. I don’t know what it’s for either, but if it’s something that both of our families are involved in then I think I should be worried,” Ethan replied smiling at me.

“Probably especially with our scheming mothers,” I replied to him with a grin of my own.

“Alrighty, Precious let’s hit the road I’ll be able to talk to you much more when we get to your place. You take the lead I’ll follow,” Ethan replied before walking to his motorcycle which was parked a few places away and throwing a leg over it.

I got into my car still shocked about everything that happened in the last few minutes, but I started my engine and pulled out somehow managing to make it home in one piece even though I kept glancing in the rearview mirror at Ethan. When we pulled up neither of us was aware of what would be awaiting us on the other side of the door and I don’t think it would be possible for us to be prepared.

Alenor- I wish I hadn't ended up with an almost 7 month waiting time before getting the next chapter out. Wow it doesn't seem like it's been that long. Mei1105- Really sorry about this delay! I can't believe it took me as long as it did to get another chapter out. More will happen with the challenge after this chapter. I have a slight plan now brewing in my head. I know my romance side has been drowning me as well so I had to find a way to get the overflow out so I knew I needed to write some on this one. I hope you enjoyed this new chapter though:-D
