Fate’s Open Doors

Tears falling like drops of rain.
Nothing could take away the pain.
The stone cold reality,
of a past filled with jealousy
Filled with nothing but remorse,
as life took its course,
and ended so shortly.

Rose petals lay in the aisle.
In memory of a girl who,
claimed life was not worth her while.
Who knew the lies they told,
kept her awake at night,
blinding her from heavenly sight?
As tears fell upon her pillow,
she withered like a Weeping Willow.

A heart shattered like glass,
the pieces lying on the floor.
This breath being her last,
so precious, so deadly,
came from fate’s wide open door,
and swept this girl away.
Fate took her to a place
of happiness and grace.
