Melt Away

Part One

This story starts out in a local café, in a strange city, but like other cities in every physical way, but now it is the only city. The café is quant. It was pretty in its own way, it gives a home-like feeling to everyone who enters. A young girl would be seen in one of the booths near the two wide doors. She looks of eighteen years in age. Her hair was black, just like her eyes. Her figure was small. She looked fragile. She had both of her hands on what seemed like a cup of coffee.

A few moments passed, she takes out a cigarette box and removes a cigarette from the box. She puts the mouth piece between her lips, and begins to light it. Just then, a young boy showed up. He was seemed like he was around her age. He was the picture of handsome, blonde hair with blue eyes. He had a manly build to his body. He looked like he can take on the world. He looked around the café slowly. “Where’s Aleksandra?” he asked, to one of the waitresses in the café.

The waitress looks over to the boy and quickly points to the girl in the booth, now smoking her cigarette. He makes her way to her with a grin pasted on his face. “Well, well, well. It’s Aleksandra. It’s nice to see a friend here.”

“A friend?” Aleksandra said quietly.

“Yes. Even though we’re in different gangs does mean we aren’t friends.”

“I doubt that’s the case, Skyler. You can sit, if you like. Sun sets soon. You should sit while you still can.” She smiles lightly and takes a sip of her coffee.

Skyler takes his seat across from Aleksandra. “Anna is meeting me here.”

“Then, why did you ask for me?” Aleksandra smirks. She heard him when he asked for her; she just didn’t want to waste energy in speaking up.

“I figured you would be here. Anna won’t be showing up until later.”

Aleksandra looks at Skyler. She grins. “Silly. She’s here now.”

At that moment, a girl bursts through the door. “SKYLER!” she yelled. This girl was absolutely beautiful. She had a beauty only angles seemed like they possessed, but she seemed quite sassy, like a demon, and she was in fact, the same age as the other two. She matched over to Skyler with her foot stomping to the ground wildly. She looked at Skyler with such anger and screamed, “Skyler… You’re such a butthead! Stop flirting! We have work to do! You can’t just call me and say, ‘meet me at the café, Anna’. You know how many they are?! Then, you had the nerve to just hang up on me. I didn’t even get a chance to remind you to bring the materials we’ll need for tonight’s battle!” Anna then smacks him from the back of the head. “I don’t care if you’re the leader. I’m still smarter!” Anna calms herself down, just in time to look over to Aleksandra, now realizing she was there. “Oh. Aleksandra, I didn’t know you were there. It’s nice to see you again.” She bows her head, and in return Aleksandra did the same.

“Don’t worry about it. Skyler can be a butthead at times.” Aleksandra said, with a slight chuckle. “But the sun will set in…” Aleksandra looks at her watch. “One minute.”

Skyler was the first one of the three to look over to the sunset, then followed Anna and Aleksandra.
